Queen Charlotte's Cottage

Queen Charlotte's Cottage, in Kew Gardens, was built for George III's wife in the 1770's as a sort of garden retreat.

Burghclere

This is a complex roof which, when first inspected, was in varying conditions.

East Hendred

This is a large converted barn thatched in Water Reed  with a flush type ridge.

Beedon

Quite often, thatch roofs get out of sync; in other words, only part of the roof is rethatched.

Clivedon

Circular thatched roofs have their own attraction and this roof in Clivedon was a delight to thatch.
